John is a retired Electrical Engineer, having spent the last 13 years as Director/Partner in a medium-sized Consultancy business servicing the manufacturing-, power generation- and petro-chemical- industries throughout Australia.
He has a long association with Apollo Bay, commencing with annual holidays in Apollo Bay whilst a primary school student, through his family’s purchase of a holidy home there in 1956, and finally, full-time residency since 2001.
John’s local interests have transformed from the surf club (member sice 1956) to the pursuit of golf (member since 1972) and watercolour-painting.
He is an Associate member of the Foundation and has served seven years as Honorary Treasurer.
